Honda 80 idle problems
Question- if you bore a small engine .020 over, and replace the piston/rings, does it need to be rejetted to run properly? A friend of mine had all that done to his kids XR80, and then had the carb gone through, and it still won't idle worth a darn. Any ideas? Valve adjustment is the next thing I'm going to suggest...

check the idle screw...and no you should not need to rejet for a bore job....unless they modified the intake and exhaust ports specifically...

If the idle is surging and then quiting then it's probable an air leak problem. Does it run better when the choke is open vice closed? That's usually a sign of a intake leak somewhere.

I have lot's of toys, 4 Runner, 99 Warrior, Odyssey 96 YZ125 etc...
