350X starting tips????

My 85 350X is a NIGHTMARE to start, especially cold start (not cold outside, cool engine). Most of the time when we go riding, I say screw it and tow-start it with another bike. It's even sort of a pain when it's warmed up. My carb is good and clean, I run 100 octane Avgas, and the plug looks like new. Any tips from veterans out there??? The motor and carb are all stock- never even been rejetted, to my knowledge. Kicking that sucker for awhile will tire ya out, I'm tellin' you!

Re: 350X starting tips????

Cycle the kick starter slowly till it feels like you have the piston at TDC, let the kickstarter ratchet back up to the top, and slam it!
