Re: Polaris Magnum 500 or Sportsman 500?
Well I can't speak for the Magnum but I do have a 2000 Sportsman that I have put about 300 miles on over the past 4 months. I have taken that machine where I didn't think it would go, the fact that there is no rear diff hanging down limiting your actual ground clearence to say about 4 inches means the difference between go or nogo. The IRS makes for a very smooth ride in the roughist terrain (much better than that ragged old chevy).
The only suggestion is try to ride each one on the same course prior to the purchase, if you can't do that then flip a coin either way you won't go wrong they are both fine machines.
