Banshee Warranty Question

A buddy of mine was saying something about how there is no warranty on a new Banshee. He said something to effect of "once you take it off the lot, it's your problem". I am a little skeptical about his statement, but it wouldn't surprise me because of the fact that everyone's always hoppin-up banshees and Yamaha probably wants nothing to do with it once it's been altered.

My question is, IS THIS TRUE?!?!

Re: Banshee Warranty Question

hey Z71man,
Your friend is right on the warranty. Banshees are considerd a race bike and for that reason there is no warranty.

Re: Banshee Warranty Question

I was given 60 days not including the motor by the place I bought mine. Another place told me no warranty though.

Re: Banshee Warranty Question

I have a related experience. Girlfriend just bought an '00CR80, and there is no warranty, because it is a competition bike. She bought a 2 year warraty for $400 that covers the primary drive and a few other things.
