Suzuki Engine Transplant

Hey guys, i think i have found another Suzuki LT250R quad, but the engine in it is toasted. i havent looked at it yet, but was wondering if an engine transplant would be worth it? i know i would have to make my own motor mounts, but aside from that what engines would work best on this frame? i am thinking about maybe an engine off of a CR500 dirt bike. what do you think? a nice project or something to let go of and not worry about? thanks in advance.

Re: Suzuki Engine Transplant

A CR500 powered LTR would be pretty cool, but the trick would be getting it so it doesn't vibrate. You'd have to come up with some pretty trick rubber mounts or something as the CR motor is not counterbalanced. Probably the easiest option is to "throw" in a LT500R motor. Good luck with whatever you do.
