K&N Power Kit

Can I use a K&N power kit (filter, rejet&race spark plug all supplied in kit) on a 97 wolverine with the stock pipe? Would I get much gain in power from this? I need to make up for lost power from larger tires. I do not really want a loud pipe because I use my bike for hunting also.

Re: K&N Power Kit

I wouldnt. You are improving your intake flow, but not you exhaust. No sense even getting the kit w/out putting a new pipe in to compensate for the increased breathing. Would probably run like crap also. I have a 99 and have all of that stuff along w/ an FMF Mega Max 2, bored .20 over, Web cam, ported head, Wiseco 10.25:1 forged piston, and a bunch of other goodies that I have all put in myself. Get a pipe you will need it if you are installing that stuff.
