I need detailed instructions on how to put an ATC 350x motor in a '97 TRX 300 EX four wheeler frame. What electrics do I have to change and are there any pipe modifications? I am currently an ATV/Motorcycle technician in a Honda dealership, but I have not done this particular swap before. Can you throw me a bone here?

hey do you have an engine already?i have done this swap and have an extra engine for sale. all mounts are in the right place but need to be trimed. you can determine how much to trim mounts by measuring 250x mounts from seam where cases meet, then make 350x mounts match measurements. you need to use 350x cdi and voltage regulator. splice harnesses together using factory diagrams, it took me 6 dealerships before i got them from charles at richards honda in littlerock arkansas, one of the countries oldest honda dealers. exhaust can be handled several ways you can buy dg exhaust $150.00 and cut it up into about 4 pieces and weld it back together, along with cutting your frame on right side. you can buy exhaust from prowroll for $330.00. or start from scatch on your own.if you want to buy my engine i can completly prep it and exhaust for you to drop into your frame. this is a very good swap this engine has much more torque than 400ex you will want to gear up with stock engine.i've pulled my banshee up a 30 degree incline twice after it quit running(bad plug wire at coil) like it wasn't even there, although had an clutches.any more questions?
