2003 honda rancher 350

why won't my electric shift work on my honda rancher 350, 2003 model it just blinks in neutral and won't change gears, but i can change gears manually,but it keeps flashing on and off. a friend said it might be a sensor,can you tell me where its located and what it looks like, thanks fluffy

It's probably like my 2004. The angle sensor is the lower most attachment on the front of the engine. It has a guard over it and a 3 wire connector.
If you turn the key off, rap lightly on the cover guard, turn the key back on and it's reset, you can just about bet it's the sensor. Not that difficult to replace after removing right hand mud guard. Will cost you about 70 bucks with new O ring.. Hope this helps. Grandpanorm
