Re: 85 suzuki quadracer

i owned a 1985 Q racer in which i installed 290 big bore kit, a sleeve in the carb to increase bottom end and i woods rode it here in Pa. till i bought a warrior because i was tired of pushing the Q racer backwards. the Q racer was great fun to ride but i was too old (55) for kick starting and pushing it backwards. the swing arm was a weak point so i made a reforcement to make it stronger where the swing arm meets the axle housing. lot of fun to ride, drive it like a sprint car on the dirt roads.

Re: 85 suzuki quadracer

What kind of info are you looking for? I own an 85' QuadRacer and have had very few problems finding parts that I need for it. If you
look in the back of an ATV mag. there are many dealers selling parts for them.

Re: 85 suzuki quadracer

I owned and enjoyed an 85 quadracer for roughly a year. I bought it for $900 in near mint condition (still had factory tires in good shape from 85). It was ridden once a year since 87 on some sand dunes in MI. I had no problem having the cylinder resleeved to stock configuration and obtaining an FMF silencer. One tip if you have an 85 and don't have a lot of money to spend on it is to sand blast the factory header and spray paint it with Rustoleom 1000 degree black paint. I did mine and it looked better than new. I sold it and bought a Warrior because I got tire of pushing it backwards and having to kickstart it. I was a great bike while I had it though.
