Question ATV not Charging

I have a 99 Honda Foreman and the charging light stays on and it runs until the battery runs down. What is the proper steps to test the charging system?

if not a bad battery then check the stator charge fuse

or the startor could not be sending a charge to the battery
but its probabaly a bad fuse (has happend to me)

but i have had a bad stator and had to buy a new one

if ur lucky ur startor can just have the 1 charge coil replaced and not the whole thing

take a multi-meter and check out put when it is running. you shound have over 13.5 volts when its running. if not your battery will never stay charged. check the plug connections from the stator to the harness.
