Raptor 660 only idols with full choke

I have an 02 Raptor 660. I added pipes and jet kit back in 02 but no recent changes.

Since I got it out this spring I have been having a problem with performance. Runs very rough and only idols with full choke. Also it will tend to backfire.

I have read through a ton of previous postings and have found a few that seem to be similar.

One of the common themes was that your choke was sticking and should be adjusted. The other was that the carbs may not be seated in their boots.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

I would check the intake boots for cracks. If they look good then turn toward
your carbs see if the needle valves are stuck and the float/s wont drop open very well. The main jets might be plugged.Lack of fuel flow makes it so you have to run the bike with the choke on the backfire being caused by the lean condition.Bad case scenario the electronics are failing and it has a week spark and cant rev up but don't quote that one.
