Re: 200 pheonix

We have had so many problems with our "brand new hunk of junk pheonix 200".

purchased it end of feb. less than 22 hours on it, did everything that the dealership told us to do. vary the speed for the break in period, have 15 - 20 hour service done, 1st time we took it in was we would make a turn and it would cut out, no power, backfired, gutless. Service department told us the choke had to be redone. Took it out the second time to the sand dunes, no power, gutless, backfiring, thought maybe it was just what would happen during the breakin period. took it out a third time camping, samething happened. took it in and had the first service done, the service department told us that it was running good for them. took it out fourth time samething, only this time there were a lot of different ATV's along with us. They all said that it was jetted properly. Jetting??? new to ATV's, found out that they are factory jetted to an elevation of 4000 feet, we are higher in elevation than that. Should have been jetted within 30 days of use by the dealership. We didn't know anything about this. At the time of the first service there were 3 recalls on this ATV. They didn't bother to do any of them, no surprise there. We called the manager were the bike was purchased and complained. He told us to bring in the bike and they would look at it again. when we brought it in they told us that it would be $70.00 to look at it, and they were 1 1/2 weeks out. we loaded the bike back up. Again called the manager, this is a brand new bike less than 20 hours of use, and there was no way we were going to pay to have it looked at when it was under warranty and had never worked right in the first place, and that there were recalls and weren't done. told us to bring it in and he would take care of it, "There must have been some missunderstanding." they rushed to have this done so that we could take it out this weekend. well this weekend for about 1 hour the bike ran great, we thought yes they finally did something right. when all of the sudden it started smoking from the handle bars. slowed the bike down, and almost came to a stop when the bike shutdown. the oil that had come from it smelled like something that would come out for something with 189,000 and had never had the oil changed. We are now waiting to see what the dealership is going to do. The motor is burnt up, on something that only have 23 hours on it. So anyone out there that has a Pheonix 200 polaris hunk of garbage be ware. this product has some major serious issues. BE CAREFUL.
