Mixing injector oil, a bad deal?

I was out on a trip far away from everything. My bro was on his way and bought some injector oil at The Flying J truck stop. Since my boys quad was running low. I topped it off. It ran great until the last day it started cutting out after it warmed up. It has gotten considerably worse the last 3 trips. When the weather got hotter the last trip it got noticably more frequent.

I have drained the tank, blew out the fuel lines, tore apart the carb, checked every jet, cleaned the air filter, replaced the plug, all to no avail. I just remembered mixing the injector oil in his tank and wondered if this could be the problem? Maybe some sort of chemical reaction that causes it to not flow smoothly etc?

Am I nuts? because this is driving me crazy?
Thanks for your help guys.

Re: Mixing injector oil, a bad deal?

Sometimes you can run into problems mixing synthetic with petroleum based, but with normal 2 stroke mix to swith brands shouldn't be that big of a deal.
