New to ATV talk...

Does anyone here go to Hare Scrambles or any other races that amature racers can participate in? My husband and I usually go to the motorcycle races because he rides KTM, but I am looking for my own thing with other ATVer's. We are headed up to Tahuya today for some riding. Any one know of other places for a decent ride in the NW area?

Re: New to ATV talk...

Tahuya, I haven't ridden their in years. I grew up on the peninsula and spent most of my life riding out at tahuya and capital forest. As far as atv riding, there are probably many groups to ride with over there, but if you are looking for racing then you are set. Check out the Worcsracing.com webpage and you will drool. I ran 7 races as an over 30 amatuer last year, including Goldendale, WA, and Longview Wa. and won my 1st national championship. It is the greatest form of off-road racing their is in the world. And both bikes and atv's race it so would work great for you and your husband. Also check out the race track in Goldendale wa, called Eddiesville, they have atv races all the time. If you want to check out flat-track, I raced indoors this last year in Monroe and there were 100+ atv's for that.

I live here in Idaho, only about 8 hrs from you and we have a huge # of racers, riders, places, etc. We even have a worcs race coming here in April. You should come, you would love to see a 300 quad turnout. Also, we have a large number of women that race, usually 8-10 for mx and 20-30 for flattrack. We will see even more for the worcs race.

Go check out and sign up for the atvryde.com webpage, that is our local group and you will get to know dozens of women atv riders that can help you get started.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help, I still have many friends in western wash. and might be able to get you some more contacts over there.

Take care
david
