front braking problems

Just wondering if anyone out there knew anything about brakes and rotors. My 95 Polaris front brakes have been pretty squeaky lately and now when I'm in reverse and brake, a noise like metal on metal goes. It sounds like my brake pads are gone. Has this happened to anyone else? How can I fix it?

Re: front braking problems

Well on my month old Yamaha Warrior the brakes are pretty sqweaky too. When I installed my trail tech computer I had to take off the rotor and alot of dirt came out so that my be my problem again. It might be yours too. Just check one and see if theres alot of dirt in there. I'm sure cleaning the dirt out couldn't hurt.
