Honda 450 R or Yamaha YFZ 450 Quad???

OK what do you think about the 2005 Honda 450 R or the 2005 Yamaha YFZ 450 Quad? Which one is faster? I'm looking to buy one but can't make up my mind. The YFZ Yamaha is push button start but the Honda is a kick start which I rather deal with than a battery thats in the Yamaha. Does anyone have either of these Quads? Any info on them will help greatly.
Also I heard about the Yamaha had problems with the push button starter and the upkeep on the battery.

Re: Honda 450 R or Yamaha YFZ 450 Quad???

Here at ORC Headquarters, we have a yfz450. Only one person here at ORC has ridden both the Honda and the YFZ, and he liked the Honda better. BUT, that was only because the YFZ wasn't very comfortable. He liked the YFZ better in every category but just couldn't deal with how it felt. The 2005 YFZ has been changed though. Yamaha knew of the complaints of the uncomfortableness, and made some changes. The changes are commented on in this article. YFZ 2005 Fixes
Yes, people have been having problems with the YFZ's battery. GYTR makes a kickstart kit for it(if you are serious about doing motocross it is a good idea because it gets rid of some weight). If you don't want to make the conversion, here is how we made we didn't have any more trouble with our YFZ battery. Battery Fix
About faster, I have no idea.
