Is my clutch gone?

I was riding at a normal speed, I started to slow down and as I was downshifting, the quad just fell into first it felt, and then died. The clutch handle became very loose, and when I started the quad back up, as soon as I shifted into first, it died. Also, when it is off, and I shift it into first, it wont move with the clutch pressed. So is the clutch dead and how hard is it to fix this. Thanks

Re: Is my clutch gone?

Does it slam or grind into first, then lurch forward. need more details but so far conclude a broken clutch cable.

Re: Is my clutch gone?

follow the clutch cable from your lever to the clutch case, it could be something simple, your clutch usually doesnt just drop

it sounds like you just dropped your tranny
