\'86 Honda 200s Pull Starter

If you have ANY info, please help. It is greatly appreciated! I just did a rebuild of the pull starter on my '86 <nobr><nobr><a class="iAs" style="border-bottom:darkgreen 1px solid;text-decoration:underline;color:darkgreen;background-color:transparent;" href="#" onclick="return kwC();" target="_blank" oncontextmenu="return false;" onmouseover="kwE(event,84706);" onmouseout="kwL(event);" onmousemove="kwM(84706);"><nobr><a class="iAs" style="border-bottom:darkgreen 1px solid;text-decoration:underline;color:darkgreen;background-color:transparent;" href="#" onclick="return kwC();" target="_blank" oncontextmenu="return false;" onmouseover="kwE(event,84706);" onmouseout="kwL(event);" onmousemove="kwM(84706);">Honda</nobr></a></nobr></a></nobr> 200s. I redid the whole thing, ya, from the recoil spring and all! That spring is not very fun unless you have the correct size adjustment. My only problem, it wont recoil back in. Yes, the recoil spring is fine. Do I need to grease it up real good? Where should I apply lubricant to make it work right, if any? Thanks!!

Update: Talked with some guys about it. I suppose I didn't know a little something about the pull start. The rope has to be wound up a little not just placed in there. Off to try that and I will post another update.

Update: IT WORKS!!!! Ok, ya just have to wind up the spring a bunch of times before putting the rope through the hole and then into the handle. It helps to tie a not somewhere on the rope outside of the hole after winding it up otherwise ya just fight it all the time. If you have any specific questions send me an email to: [email protected]

Hope this helps!
