04 YFZ450- Head Plug

Yesterday, we had been riding our YFZ in about the bottom of second gear for a mile or two, when we stopped I smelled something. When I looked down, there was oil spewed everywhere. After some inspection, we figured out that the head plug had blown out. It is supposed to be a manual compression release, but since the YFZ has an automatic one, there was a plug in the hole. Does anyone know something that we could use to plug the hole untill we get one from somewhere?

Well, we figured out a temorary fix until we can get one from somewhere. It included a valve stem, 2 screws, some hi-temp sealant, and a piece of meatal with two holes drilled into it bent at 90 degrees. lol Whatever works I guess.

Re: 04 YFZ450- Head Plug

everytime i talk to a atv dealer around here they don't tell me what i need to know...all i get is YOU NEED TO BUY THE MOST EXPENSIVE ONE TO BE HAPPY!!!! im not a beginner , but not a professional racer either. i would like to know which 2004 atv would be the most reasonable choice for possible mods. i'm interested in the Raptor 350 or maybe the honda 300ex..anyone care to be honest and tell me which is more reliable and fast for the price???
