opinion on buying quad

i am researching a new quad and need some real opinions not all these atv reviews that are out, i need riders..i have been riding my whole life, i live in N.Y and ride mainly trails and a few sand pits, alot of water. mud and snow.. i am leaning toward the bombardier baja x, my buddy has a raptor and he is always frozen or soaked cause they have hardly any front fenders, seems to be the style lately..the baja x looks to be alot heavier than i would like(482lbs) . is it noticable? i feel like i need front fender protection for the type of riding i do.

Re: opinion on buying quad

all the sport type quads run with limited plastic,, if you would like more coverage in the front then you could get a front rack kit and put extended fenders on it

You may be interested in the Polaris Scrambler 500. It has full plastics and floorboards & selectable 4x4. You can pull the wheels up any time you like.
