see if someone can help me...its worth a try

I have a open air box, 128main, exhuast, K&N w/outerwear, no choke and a 42 pilot jet...

I go through the gears, really hammering the throttle say down a road, and each time I shift, it makes this stutter sound as I hammer down the throttle

it pisses me off when I am going off a jump slow or fast like say in 3nd or 3rd, and want to get that extra boost off, you hit the throttle and it bog, stutters for a second, then goes good...

any sudgestions?
should I run a 40 instead of 42 pilot? or go back to stock pilot?
does it have anything to do with the air/fuel screw?

sounds like it's slightly rich to me too, I would try the smaller pilot jet too.

Re: see if someone can help me...its worth a try

I was thinking that, I wanted to run a 40 pilot jet...but he couldnt order those because the company was out, so I have a 38 and 42, I think 42 is supposed to be used in the winter
so should I go up on the fuel screw? like 3 1/2 turns out or less?
I think I am going to go back to a 38 pilot

How many turns out are you now? I'd never go past 3-1/2 turns out on a idle-mixture screw. If you turn it in, it will lean it out. Where did you set the needle and how does your plug look?

Re: see if someone can help me...its worth a try

Well I fixed her up, and is running great...plug was a black color....way too rich...it used to be wet and blakc but I moved it up one clip and turned the air mixture screw out instead of in with the 42 pilot...so now its running strong and took her for a test run, no boggin, sputtering just running great...

thanks, I got more help here then I did at any other site...
