Any advice ??

I recently purchased a 2003 Honda Kodiak 400 4X4. I have not been on an atv since I was 13 (am now 31) and purchased what I thought to be the best utility machine for me. I hit the trail today and loved it. I do have a technical question however. When I switch into four wheel drive my light is supposed to come on. It did as I was loading it into my pickup but I noticed on the trail that it was not kicking on. It sounds to me like it is engaging and feels like it is but I am concerned. Also, when I switch from N to F and hit the throttle it kicks into gear really hard. Is this normal? What could be the problem? If anyone can give me a hand I would appreciate it.

Re: Any advice ??

Take it back to the dealer and have all the work repaired under warranty. The light may be a simple bulb or a solenoid problem. The hard shift could be a multitude of problems that may be as simple as an oil change or and adjustment to a manufacture problem that needs internal work. Let the dealer take care of it!!

31 and back on a quad. Glad to hear. I returned at 35 to the quads after about 10 years. Cant believe I was away from them for so long!
