Getting a bansee

Im picking up a '99 Banshee with Ac front bumber, nerf bars, renthal bars, has been jetted, has boysen reeds, UNI air filter, extended swing arm and a set of paddle tires for $3,000. I have been looking around for somthing for a while and this seemed like a good deal. Is it? I coulnt find anything else in michigan like that for that price. Im picking er' up friday, i have been saving sence i got my job in the summer and finally have enough to buy somthing nice! Should be cool, having the quickest quad around Before in the summer i rode a 1972 Suzuki ts 90. The thing was a beast, but i was ready for an upgrade.

Re: Getting a bansee

sounds like a great deal to me, you will probably love riding it, and you could never go wrong buying a banshee for the dunes, they kick a** once you start playing around with mods lol

Re: Getting a bansee

I would deffinatley prefer a 2 stroke for the dunes . I never rode out on the big ones out there buy you guys but only on the small ****ty ones in NJ a couple of hours away. I do want to make a Glamis trip when I get the R togeather . It will be awhile though low on cash.

Re: Getting a bansee

That was a good deal, but why didn't you ask about finding a quad before. Your talking to the deal king here . I got a built up shee for 950 buck's with extra's. Most old 250r's and banshee's can be purchased for as little as 1500 bones. Michigan is one of the best place's there is for buying used atv's and bikes. You just have to know where to look. You will like it, but make sure it already has a PRO FLOW, if not go buy one and put it on imediatly.

Have fun on your new ride

Re: Getting a bansee

It is a aluminum adapter that connects to your airbox, and then your filter mounts directly to the adapter and gives you a much safer, and secure filter mount. they are 89.99 for the bracket and uni filter at www.rockymountainatv.com

Re: Getting a bansee

Well, i picked up my machine up a few days early . Wow that is a nice machine. There is still alot of snow where i live so i couldnt really tell how much power it has seeing as my tires were slipping all over the place but i had fun. I took it to a feild i ride on my snowmobile in the winter next to my house that has some nice big bumps, hills and the like, and the thing just seemed to glide over them on that hard packed snow... it was great. I rode a bit on the road and got a better feel of the power.. wow is all i have to say.. that thing is a fast one. some of the road is still covered in ice so i did not test the limits to far. I then decided i would take it on some back trails behind my house that i ride my snow machine on. That worked out well untill i got sucked into the powder off next to the hard packed trail.. The banshee is not a heavy quad so i just picked up the ends and moved it back to where it needed to be. Unfortnally i was not going to be that easy... i did not have enought momention and the trail was not quit hard enough at that point to start off slow so i got astuck a few more times... After about 30 minuts i finally got going and back to my house. Had i put on the paddle tires on i probally would have been fine, but i still had the stock ones on . Well i think im happy with it so its all good
