Which upgrades should I get for a Blaster?

I am a new rider and i was wondering not only what aftermarket parts to buy for a blaster, but how hard is it to learn how to shift fast and eficiently??? Like I said i am new but i have been looking into this for a while, so i know i want to buy a hydrolic rear brake. I planed on keeping the atv stock for a while untile i got the basics down and reached my limits. The thing that will really suck is i only have the summer to ride, when the dunes are open.
