Re: Rebuilding the motor

what kind of quad do you have?

32:1 with a good pre mix like silkolene comp 2 or hp2

i would say get a block off because it will come with everything you need

Re: Rebuilding the motor

He has a blaster, yes you have to get a block off kit. I run a 50 to 1 mix of golden spectro. Have yet to blow a motor. Lol that sounds funny. Every other local racer runs this mix, some with race gas also. Team noleen also said its safe to run it at 50 to 1 with golden spectro.

50:1 with spectro

the thing abouit racing is although your pinned you are also supplying the most oil as possible and the motor is being cooled from moving air.

if he is putting around and barely moving in the summer

personally i would go 32:1 or 40:1

i ran 40:1 with pro 2 in the yz

I am suprised nobody jumped all over twitch's post. It took a while to understand just what the f*(% he was saying.

Is there a new slang of the English language that I do not know about?

Re: Rebuilding the motor

I spend 3 times the amount of time on trails then I do the mx track. I run the 50 to 1 mix in my vintage bike too. Never had any problems. I do tend to ride pretty hard, your probrably right if hes gonna put around, but with that rich of a mix and ridding slow won't he be fouling plugs left and right? I Still swear to the 50 to 1.
I'm no master mechanic, I just go buy recomendations. The clymer manual on the banshee said 20 to 1. I assume that you would be using crappy oil though. Lol at that mixture. Want some gas with your oil sir.

Re: Rebuilding the motor

the 20:1 for the oil was because thats what they used back in th day

oils are alot better now

i am not a fan of spectro thats all

blasters are oil injected which makes the bike run rich as hel(oil mix wise)

and the block off stops the oil injecters and lets you run pre mix

Re: Rebuilding the motor

Lol why don't you like spectro and fmf? How well where your works shocks set up for you right out of the box? Did you get the at steelers or the pro series. I was thinking about picking some up. I'm not very familiar with suspension tinkering, want to just bolt em on and go.
