Re: Leaking Gas Tank
I'm afraid you need to be a bit more specific. Is it the petcock that's leaking or is the leak between the petcock and the tank?
If the leak is where the petcock goes into the tank, he'll have to drain the tank & remove it to work on it and apply some sealant around the tank opening where the petcock joins it. I can't recall the name of the sealant that is impervious to gasoline, but any auto parts store will have it. If the petcock itself is at fault, it should be rebuildable.Just disassemble it after drainng the gas. The should be an O-ring or gasket inside that is broken or dried up and not sealing shut.
