New to the ATV world

Hey, I just bought a 98 Warrior and it still has the stock tires and wheels. I went out last weekend and realized that the tires are not good enough for the riding I plan to do. I do lots of trail riding and hillclimbing, in muddy rocky conditions. Any suggestions on the best type of all around tires? I was looking at the Sur Trak and the Spider Track.

I am thinking the Maxxis all-trac might be a very good fit for that kind of riding.

I put Blackwaters on my wife's 300EX a couple of years ago and they're still in good shape. I think they were designed for the mixed conditions you are talking about.

Re: New to the ATV world

I bought a set of Titan 489 X/T tires for my Xplorer and love them...........they seem to work great for all types of riding conditions. They are 6-ply and have pretty decent traction. I haven't got to try them much yet in the mud......but I think they would work great for the ride that they provide for other riding conditions.

A buddy of mine has spider tracks on his warrior. He swears by em. I personally wouldnt put them on my 400EX cause its a HEAVY tire. But they seem to have really good grip.
