Hey you Pismo veterans!

.....I have a 31 foot 5th wheel. I want to go to Pismo. I DON'T want to get stuck. I am a very experienced off roader, so I understand how tire inflation effects traction in sand and all that, but here's my question. My 5th wheel is HEAVY!!. It get's stuck in Glamis if I don't stay in the harder stuff in the washes. I have plenty of towing power. But can I turn around at Pismo with out going into the dry soft stuff.? How far out does the tide go?
thanks guys, SPODEBOY.

Re: Hey you Pismo veterans!

I have not been to Pismo in 4 or 5 years but used to love to go down and watch people get stuck. Especially when the tide comes in and starts flooding all the camps. <grin> Of course I was using a tent then.

I believe if I was to go to Pismo now I would not take my 35ft Motorhome out there. There is a few RV/camp areas that I believe you can ride your quad to.

When the tide is out there is a good hard packed surface to drive on. But to make sure you are far enough up the beach when the tide comes in you need to get on the edge of the soft stuff.
