Lakota Trans

I have a 95 Lakota.. (recently purchased)... I have a trans problem. It will jump in & out of gear under load.. most lower gears.. it gives the same sensation as a chain jumping on the sprockets. It got increasingly worse all the way home..I am hoping someone has had a similiar problem with a kawi 300 ..the engine is out & case is split... I have checked the basics,,, no obvious damage ... any opinions..??? thanks

Re: Lakota Trans

Hmmm, I've had that on a bike once, but a quick inspection of the clutch/gear "tree" showed obvious probs. Is it possible it feels like drivetrain but is simply missing at certain "r's"?? Under load, especially with a (no offense) underpowered engine you may feel significant jerking/missing. Wish I could be of more help-I'd look at carb if visual inspection of gearing looks solid.
