02 400ex honda

I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the shifter shaft on the 400 because I have broke two, not from hitting stuf either. honda wont do anything about it. thank god for vicegrips on the stub keeps me shifting.

just spend the money and get a nice aftermarket one man...them damn vice grips come in handy though don't they [img]images/icons/wink.gif[/img]

Broken shifter? Wow. Are you sure your not standing on the shifter rather than the footpeg. lol j/k dude.

Ive worn out a clutch, piston, start switch (the one in front of the battery) front plastics, tires, tie rods, swing arms bearings, axle bearings...but the original shifter is still there! lol

yeah i have never broken a shifter yet... bent my peg into an "L" shape but the shifter was fine. i would go with and aftermarket one also
