banshee airbox

is there some secret to removing the banshee airbox? the only way i have sucessfuly removed it is by taking off the rear fenders and then twisting it around until i find just the right way so i can snake it through...then the reverse to get it back in...so is there any magical trick or is it just a pain in the butt??

Re: banshee airbox

Thats what you have to do.

The fix for that is either the Toomey 2:1 intake(my favorite), or clamp on filters.

When i had my Banshee, i got the best service from Toomey with foam and Outerwear.. Stopped all the sand!

Re: banshee airbox

but the one thing you will want to think about is what type of terrain you ride in. Where we ride, I use the banshee air box without the lid and a pro design filter set up....It does its job well...I dont believe the other two options would be the best idea because of the sometimes wet terrain I get into...

Re: banshee airbox

Good point Airborne. I forget there is life past sand dunes and desert. I avoid mud and water at all costs, mostly because i hate cleaning it afterwards.

When i ran a stock airbox, i used the prodesign mount with no lid and it was great. I just got tired of removing everything to change jets all the time.

So how ya been?
