help no spark??

i was out plowing my driveway on my 99 yamaha big bear 350 when it died i thought it ran out of gas turned it over to RES it wouldn`t start so i started looking found i have no spark. checked the plug and the wires from the coil lokks o.k. so i looking thinking it`s the coil or cdi as i was turning it over i notcied the oil tem light is comeing on when i crank it .i don`t remmeber it doing this be for.how can i check to see if it my coil or cdi. and what`s with the oil temp light and the oils full and i was only riding for about 5 mins when it died

Check close to see if the snow pulled a wire out. Do you have lights? are they working? it sounds like a wire is broke or seperated. Good luck!
