Re: I have a few more questions
well I just finished a spring over on the front of my '78 wagon. I didn't buy a kit. all I bought was new purches for the springs and welded them on myself. I also added four inch lift springs in the front. it ended up about 7-8 inches of lift. if you do this make sure not to change you angle on your pinion shaft too much b/c it will cause your tires to lean too much from side to side when turning. it will also cause vibration when driving. I had to lengthen the driveshafts add a new drop arm for the steering not to mention the longer brake lines. I was told after I finished that there is a chevrolet axle with an offset diff. that will also work so that the spring purch is already on top. all I can say is good luck. It's a lot of work but its worth it. I'm clearing 36x12.50 tires now but may drop back to 35's.
