I have a 6hp 30 gallon Craftsman. In that size, it was one of the tops for the cfm. I wanted one big enough to paint with, not big jobs but enough. It has done everything I needed it to do air tool wise. I have not painted with it yet. The ones that are small stand up compressors look great. It is loud though. Depends on what your plans are for it, but you really need to check the air requirements of the tools you plan to run with it.
