89 Mach1 Setup

I have an '89 Mach 1. When I purchased the sled used it came with a Comet 108c clutch and what I believe are DG pipes and silencer. The carbs were jetted at 360/380. I don't know what the pilot jet sizes are.

I am only getting 8 mpg and am not getting very good performance. I believe most of the problems are related to my primary clutch. I am planning on rebuilding the clutch this summer. I have added ski skins, and replaced all of the bearing in the suspension and replaced the sliders.

I have been told that i should be able to get 12-14 mpg. Could I be loosing 4 mpg in the clutch or will I need to make more carb adjustments? I have changed the jets to 340/360 and think I can still go lower.

Any help would be apprciated.

Thanks,
Eric

ps: I am looking for a set of stock pipes and muffler including the Y pipe from the cyclinders.
