Was wondering if I could get other Polaris XTRA 12 owners opinions
on adjusting the front limiter strap. Last year I was very happy
running the Fox shocks soft in both the front and back and the limiter
strap on the second hole. This year I clutched my sled and the clutch
kit manufacturer told me that this sled (95 XLT Special with XTRA 12)
has a lot of track drag. He told me he owned this sled in the past and
suggested to me to run the limiter strap on the third hole (factory is
1st). I get conflicting theories in the 95 Polaris Service Manual. On
one page they say the limiter strap effect front ski pressure and on
the next page it says it doesn't effect ski pressure like on a
conventional XTR 10 suspension and that it only effects "entire rear
suspension preload"
Any limiter strap-ology would be appreciated.
