Water in the distributor cap is a problem with any ignition that's not waterproofed. The TR upgrade won't prevent your engine from dying if you drive through a puddle.

What it will do for you is bring your engine back to life. More power, smoother idling/acceleration, better gas mileage and higher revs. This upgrade is the single best thing you can do to your stock ignition without spending major bucks.
