72 Commando, Axle Doner???

I'm lookin at a 72 Commando to be an axle doner for my 80 CJ7.
The rear is a D44, 1 pc. axles, 2 3/4" tubes, 3.73 gears.
The front is a D30, drum brakes, 3.73 gears.
I can't get good measurments cause it's sunk in dirt.
Will these axles make a good swap?
What problems will I encounter?
What I'm shooting for is something that is close to a direct swap, and being close to same width as a narrow track.
Would these be the 30 spline 44 axles?
BTW, it has a running 232, 3 speed, and a complete drivetrain as it was driven to it's resting spot. He's asking $400, but there's no other lookers. I think I can get it for $200 after the seller festers a bit.
All help is appreciated.

You had to do what to fit those little tires?
I'm sure glad I own a CJ!
