Re: What are the good/bad things about a 1969?

Let me join in on this thread to avoid duplication. I'm also looking at a '69. I know it has a 3 spd manual, 9" rear and D30 front and supposedly it has 4.10 gears. It also has an inline 6 cyl engine and after market power steering, otherwise stock. My question is what kind of trannie and tcase would it have and what ratios? Also what about that engine? I don't know much about these but this one is going for $2500 with a solid frame but lots of body parts replaced with welded in patch panels. Engine is carbed, rebuilt and sounds good. Trannie, tcase and rear end are also rebuilt. Guy has almost $3000 worth of receipts of parts and work done. It has no lift. So what do you think?

Also what is a good site to get specs on different years?
