Forgot to add why, Galvanizing is a very thin coating on outside of the steel. Any thing that rubs or scratches of paint and then the galvanizing will then allow it to rust. Bottoms of floorpans collect dust and dirt, put a floormat on top and its like sandpaper. Eventually may cause rust.
