You don't have to register but I wouldn't encourage not registering. They do provide you with a meal and a place to camp. They will drag you out of the woods if you break your rig and they have a great raffle as well as experienced trail bosses. The money also goes to pay for lawyers for Southern to fight the tree huggers and keep our trails open. They have 4 quarterly rides every year that they don't charge a dime for and are as well organized as any Rosser Roundup or Safari. I am not saying that I think that everyone should pay or not go I am just saying that the money is for a good cause and a good organization. It's not going to line someones pocket and no one will shot you if you don't want to pay.
