Been there done that, got the T-shirt. Check the tranny to engine bolts while you are under there. I have a 77 and it didn't have the fancy bar from t-case to tranny so I found a later model t-caser and put it on mine. This kept the bolts and nuts tighter. I also used blue lock tite. (not red). good luck.
