Re: Cheeper alternative to AGR\'s rock ram??

Take your regular steering box and tap a hole into the front dome cover. You may want to weld a thicker plate on this before tapping the hole. The second hole needs to be tapped on the top cover near the adjusting screw. Then get a hydraulic ram that has the same stroke as the movement of your steering rod lock to lock. Then attach the ram as parallel as possible to the steering arm. You will also need a little more fluid in your pump. I did this by getting some marine fuel hose and cutting the neck off of another pump and got 2 hose clamps and viola.. A steering cooler is a good idea too. I also have a guard for my box for any wandering rocks. If you need some pics lemme know.
