Re: lifting my \'79 cherokee chief

My friend own a rustbucket '78 Cherokee and after we got done cutting the fender flares off with an airchisel he could fit 33 easily. We then did an SOA to the front and a block in the rear and that axle wrap is truly a sight to behold! ( I told them not to use a block, but they dont listen to ME!) He has 3 38.5" tires on there now...just looking for one more. He'll have to get out the air-powered cut-off tool (we've move up since the air-chisle butchered it last time) and cut them wheel wells a little bigger so the tires dont rub some, but he's got plenty of "excess" sheetmetal to deal with. I think his anemic one-barrel 258 is going to have trouble with those large meats on a stock drivetrain, but hey it's got that redneck WOW factor going for it. (Like wow its STILL running!)
