Needing fiberglass painting tips

Ok fellas, I'm getting ready to put the paint (base coat/clear coat) to my CJ5. I have NEVER painted before. A few rattle can jobs here and there... but otherwise..NOTHING.

Anyway, I've read a lot of the posts on this board, but most pertain to metal. My Jeep is mostly 'glass. Tub is used and painted already (will be re-painted). Front clip is virgin fiberglass, and the windshield frame/front grill are steel with primer.

I plan on pulling the front clip and painting the parts individually. I'm getting assistance from a buddy who has painted cars before (non-professional) but hasn't done anything with fiberglass. He has the air compressor and the room to paint, most of the tools, and I will be buying supplies.

Just looking for comments...... Anything to remove the mystery of painting and to help this task come out good.

Oh... and I realize it's a JEEP... but I want a good paint job. It's my daily driver, AND my weekend toy.

DREW
