I did one in my 78 Cherokee and it was pretty simple. The instructions with the Lockright are pretty good. If you have the thick ring gear (case 3.92 and down), you will need to remove the carrier from the Jeep to do the install. Just be sure you keep the bearing caps and bolts in the same position for reinstallation and you should be OK. Also, make sure you use Locktite on the ring gear bolts when you put it back together.
