I have a Dana 18 with the small bore input that I want to put in my 78 Cherokee. I have the AA adapter for it and found out that I need the large bore case instead. Is it possible to just have my existing case machined out to the larger size? It looks to me as if doing this won't affect anything inside or outside of the case. The intermediate shaft size is 1 1/4". Thanks
