Well, if you're not going to go with 3" open headers like I have.. ;-)
2.25" is the best you'll do stock. If you pull your transfer case out and put it in the chop-saw and remove the unnecessary "ear" on the front passenger side of the front bearing retainer you could probably do 2.5" or so down the passenger side.
When I had the 'case out on my race truck I put it in the chop saw - so I can run some straight pipes and hang mufflers off 'em for tuning purposes.
My trail rig runs dual 2.25s with dual Thrush Turbos.
