It actually isn't any harder than just described. ONe thing to make it easier and just a tad lighter is drain it before you remove it. One other thing, when you go to put it back in the vehicle, make sure you replace the oil seal in the back of the trans that seals around the t-case input shaft, otherwise you will do the drill over again...it is guaranteed to leak.
