Polaris offers heavier spings for the X-10 with square wire springs; they also do the same for the round wire by offering heavier wire diameters, your dealer's manual has a listing. Also run the dampering screw on the base of the rear shock in all the way and then back it out to 1/4 turn. Try that before changing springs. I also understand that on the 2000 suspensions Polaris says you can change the angel relationship between the two ends of the spring to increase the tension; this requires heating them up with a torch. You could try that on yours before replaceing them.
